Winter Olympics Design
For this project, I was tasked to choose a country to host the 2024 Winter Olympics, as well as design all of the assets to promote the winter games. I chose Utah as it was where I was raised, and there was a past winter games.
Concept Sketches
When I designed the logo for the 2024 Winter Olympics, hosted in Salt Lake City, I knew that I wanted to draw attention to the Navajo tribes that are native to Utah. From here, I sourced different varieties of Navajo jewelry, until ultimately designing a logo that highlighted both traditional aspects as well as modern.
Colors
The colors that were chosen for the Winter Olympics logo utilize the traditional Olympics colors. Each color is showcased in the final logo.

Typography
For the fonts, I went with Tw Cen MT, in both Bold and Regular. This decision was made to create unity between the headings and body text. Variations of different pairings were tested but in the end, this pair appeared the best.
Logo Development
The first iteration of the logo focuses entirely on traditional Navajo jewelry. However, the design was too wide, so in the second iteration I took one of the end pieces. The third iteration incorporates the Olympic colors, whereas the first couple iterations utilize a monochromatic turquoise.
Final Logo
The final iteration of the logo shares similarities with Navajo jewelry, but is more specifically inspired by traditional Navajo crowns.
Tickets
Medals
I created these medals that are awarded to the competitors who earn them in each competition. The medals are comprised of the logo as well as the Olympic rings.
