Method Coffee Roasters Rebrand
Method Coffee Roasters is a local coffee shop in Denver, CO. I created this rebrand design that pays homage to their incorporation of family farms and producers from around the world, while giving it a fresh, modern look.
Old Logo
The original logo uses a lot of small, jagged edges in its design. While the design is minimal in appearance, in my opinion it’s too minimal.
New Logo
The new version of the logo highlights the brand’s main focus of coffee through the incorporation of the mug and coffee beans.
Concept Sketches
The concept sketches show different variations of the mug, as well as the beans. At first, I designed each element separately, then combined them to create the first iteration.
Colors
The colors I’ve selected are taken from imagery on the Method Coffee Roasters website. Here I got a better understanding of their mission statement as well as goals.

Typography
For the text, I chose Futura Std Book for the headings, Garamond Regular for the body text, and MuseoModerno Light for the name of the business throughout the branding.
Logo Development
The issue with the first iteration was that the handle was too large in comparison with the cup. In the second, and final, iteration the handle size has been decreased significantly. In the final iteration the handle size has been decreased significantly and the chosen color palette was implemented.
